Viathorne is a lived-experience-led, human-first technology ecosystem — beginning with ViaSign, early research toward future SgSL support, and expanding into knowledge systems, spatial workspaces, and grounded AI interfaces.
Origin
Created from lived experience.
Viathorne was created by a Deaf and hard-of-hearing Singaporean developer building toward tools that understand accessibility, language, memory, and human context from the ground up.
That lived experience guides the work, but Viathorne does not claim to speak for every Deaf or hard-of-hearing person. Community participation and review remain essential as the project grows.
The work starts with ViaSign because sign language, communication, and cultural understanding should not be treated as edge cases. They are part of what technology must learn to support with care, review, and community participation.

Viathorne does not treat accessibility as something to decide from the outside. ViaSign is being shaped with space for Deaf people, signers, learners, teachers, and community feedback to guide how the grammar, motion, learning, and review layers grow.

Viathorne is not only about making AI more capable. It is about building systems where warmth, presence, accessibility, community feedback, and cultural understanding are engineered into the foundation instead of added as decoration later.

Viathorne begins with small, inspectable layers: notes, parsers, prototypes, review paths, knowledge systems, and interfaces that can grow without losing their human grounding.

Starting with ViaSign, growing into Viathorne.
ViaSign is the flagship starting point: research toward future SgSL support that explores language structure, parser logic, sign planning, motion audit, motion intelligence, and future visual signing output through human review.
Around it, Viathorne is growing into a wider ecosystem: Temple Console, Viathorne Rooms, and the VIA Knowledge System — tools for organizing context, navigating projects, supporting review, and building AI with better foundations.
